There are many Chinese places around here, but only one that’s both a Chinese restaurant and a Mexican restaurant in one. The China One Taco House sits on the corner of 48th ave and 45th street. And it’s got complete menus for both cuisines (the front is Chinese and the back Mexican). This time around we tried the Chinese food, but I’ll have to come back one day for the other half.
Can you spot Leto? We got the take out since doggie obviously can’t go inside, but they actually do have a few tables to sit at. Also noteworthy is the A rating from the health department.
The prices are super low, and this $2.20 hot and sour soup is actually the most expensive on the menu. Unfortunately the dumplings were with pork, so I couldn’t eat those, but the broth itself was good.
The take-out food comes in styrofoam & pint-sized boxes (as you will see in the next picture), but laid out on a plate it looks much nicer. This chicken and broccoli ($4.25) was a little mushy, but not bad, and certainly worth the price. There is a larger size available as well, but this was plenty for one portion.
Here is a chicken lo mein dish ($4.75) in its original container. It’s quite enormous for the price, but sadly consisted mostly of the noodles. There were few pieces of chicken and even fewer vegetables. I guess you get what you pay for. It tasted relatively good though. I definitely prefer Ten Full for taste though.

AGain, I made the mistake of trying Mexican food here (the tacos are served in pita bread?) very sad indeed when there is such spectacular Mexican as I found out later!
